A man was arrested on Friday morning after hastily leaving the scene of a traffic accident in the Vigo neighbourhood of Coia, according to elespanol.com.
Local Police attended the intersection between Rúa Estradada and Avenida de Castelao to deal with a collision between a car and a motorcycle. The accident caused no serious injuries, but a witness alerted officers that the passenger in the vehicle had run from the scene.
Agents located the suspect on a nearby street. Given his nervous attitude and the explanations he offered — he claimed he had left because he was in a hurry — they proceeded to search him. In the rucksack he was carrying, they found half a kilogram of cocaine, 20 grammes of heroin, 600 euros in cash and various items associated with drug trafficking.
The man was arrested as a suspected perpetrator of a drug trafficking offence, according to Europa Press.
