The charges motivating the request are crimes of coercion and prostitution linked to the illegal production of pornographic content.
The alert reached the Dénia National Police through Interpol, which conveyed suspicion that the fugitive could be residing in the Alicante municipality. From that point on, Judicial Police officers initiated an investigation to locate his whereabouts. Once he was identified and his identity confirmed, he was arrested.
The facts under investigation took place between 2020 and 2021 in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk. The arrested man was part of a criminal organisation dedicated to the production and distribution of pornographic material through live streaming via the internet. Within the structure, his role consisted of selecting and training the women who participated in the broadcasts, as well as overseeing their development.
To sustain the illicit activity, the network had several premises, computer and audiovisual equipment, and a website from which the paid live streams were conducted. The economic benefits obtained were distributed among the members of the organisation.
For these crimes, the arrested man faces a sentence of up to ten years imprisonment in the event of extradition. Following his arrest, he was brought before the Central Investigative Court of the National Court, the body responsible for processing the extradition proceedings to Russia.
