Man arrested at Málaga Fair for sexual assault on woman at Cortijo de Torres
A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly grabbing a woman's chest at Málaga's Real de la Feria. It is the second case of unwanted touching under investigation in the fairground.
Two arrested for sexual assaults at Málaga Fair
The National Police arrested a 23-year-old man accused of an alleged sexual assault offence during the early hours of 19 August at the fairground premises of Cortijo de Torres, according to Google News ES — Crime (es) citing police sources consulted by EFE.
According to those sources, the detainee allegedly grabbed a woman's chest whilst she was in the area accompanied by a friend. Both alerted a police patrol that was patrolling the vicinity and recounted what had happened to the officers, who proceeded to detain the young man immediately.
The newspaper Sur reported that the alleged perpetrator had approached the two women whilst showing signs of intoxication, before the alleged touching occurred.
This detention adds to a previous case also registered during the Málaga Fair for similar acts: days earlier, officers arrested a 31-year-old man for alleged touching of two young women in a marquee at the premises, also during the early hours of a Wednesday.
Both operations fall within the special security deployment arranged each year on the occasion of the Málaga Fair, which attracts thousands of attendees both at the Real del Cortijo de Torres and in the historic city centre.
