According to canalsur.es, police have arrested an 18-year-old youth as the suspected perpetrator of the homicide of Alexander Aslani, a 57-year-old plastic surgeon. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the deceased's own clinic, located in Marbella.
Aslani was attacked by a hooded individual who fired five times at his head whilst he was attending to a patient in the consultation room. The victim died on the spot. Javier Salas, subdelegado of the Spanish Government in Málaga, confirmed the arrest and praised police for the speed of their intervention.
The case has been classified as secret. Salas indicated that police initially rule out the crime being a fresh episode of organised crime, which opens the possibility of personal motives or revenge.
In a related incident that occurred the same afternoon in Málaga city, a second shooting took place with no fatalities. In this case, three people have already been arrested and three firearms were seized. Investigations are continuing in both incidents.
