The Guardia Civil arrested a man on Saturday as the suspected perpetrator of a fatal hit-and-run that occurred during the September Fair of the Seville municipality of Las Cabezas de San Juan, according to 20minutos.es.
The incident took place at around 6.00 hours in the early morning. According to sources from the force, the events began with a dispute between two people and a third person, which subsequently escalated into a brawl.
The driver—identified as one of those involved in the altercation—accessed a vehicle and attempted to run down the other two people. One of them managed to dodge it, but the other was struck and died on impact as a result of the collision.
The arrested man is charged with wilful homicide. The operation was carried out by the Territorial Team of Judicial Police of the Guardia Civil of Lebrija. The authorities have not provided further details about the incident at this time.
