Spanish authorities arrested a 32-year-old Hungarian man and woman in Tenerife who were on the European Union's list of most-wanted fugitives for leading a drug trafficking organisation.

Spanish authorities arrested a 32-year-old man and woman, both Hungarian, on the island of Tenerife who appeared on the European Union's list of most-wanted fugitives. According to a statement from the Tatabánya Court cited by 24.hu, both held leadership roles within a criminal organisation involved in drug trafficking.
Five years ago, the suspects decided to begin cultivating cannabis and acquired several properties for that purpose. Additionally, they agreed with other individuals to collaborate in the planting and commercialisation of the drug. Before April of last year, they maintained 6,287 plants in two properties in Tatabánya, as well as another plantation in the Csór area. In the dwellings, approximately 32 kilograms of marijuana were found in small bags, 26 kilos in the process of drying, and 339.45 kilograms already dehydrated.
