Uruguayan DJ arrested in Spain with 2,100 kilos of cocaine aboard a sailing vessel
Sebastián Morgare, known as "Kembou", was captured in Spanish waters alongside three people of other nationalities. The sailing vessel was transporting a cargo valued at approximately 20 million euros.

Sebastián Morgare, known in the nightlife scene as "Kembou", went from displaying travels, electronic music parties and luxury vessels on social media to being detained in Spanish waters accused of being part of the crew of a sailing vessel loaded with cocaine. This is reported by portada.com.uy.
The Uruguayan, 43 years old and with a strong presence in Punta del Este, presented himself on his profiles as a "VIP DJ" and music producer. His posts showed paradisiacal landscapes, electronic music events and activities linked to the nautical world, including vessel rental.
The operation of 14 September
The Spanish Tax Agency's Customs Surveillance Service intercepted the sailing vessel Seute Deern – flying a Polish flag and measuring 14 metres in length – on 14 September, approximately 400 miles from the coast of Galicia. Inside the vessel, 74 packages of cocaine were found.
Initial information placed the cargo at around 2,100 kilos, although other figures released during the investigation raised the weight to approximately 2,500 kilos. The estimated value of the drugs would be around 20 million euros.
Morgare was travelling with three other people of Argentine, Colombian and Albanian nationality. All were detained and placed at the disposal of Spanish justice.
Without AIS and with cargo on the high seas
According to the investigation, the drugs would have been transferred on the high seas from a mother ship. The sailing vessel had departed on 11 July from the port of Roses and was navigating without activating the automatic identification system AIS, which allows the position of vessels to be tracked.
Spanish authorities are investigating what the specific role of each crew member was. One of the hypotheses being considered is that Morgare would have been recruited as a trusted sailor to transport drug shipments to Europe.
Link to the "Los Balcanes" clan
The investigation fell under the coordination of the Spanish National Court and points to a structure linked to the so-called "Los Balcanes" clan, with involvement in international cocaine trafficking.
In parallel, a Chilean citizen was arrested in Girona, identified as the alleged organiser of the vessel network. The operation also had the cooperation of the British NCA and the American DEA.
Whilst justice determines the degree of the Uruguayan's participation, his social media left exposed an image constructed on the basis of parties, sailing and exclusive destinations: that of a DJ integrated into the VIP circuit, very different from the one that now appears in the judicial file.
