Two arrested in Lucena for making obscene gestures at minors on Paseo del Coso
Lucena Local Police arrested two foreign-born men on Sunday for making obscene gestures and sexually explicit remarks in front of two minors in the town centre.
Arrested in Lucena after harassing two minors with obscene gestures in the street
Lucena Local Police arrested two foreign-born men on Sunday evening accused of an alleged offence against moral integrity, after making obscene gestures and sexually explicit remarks in front of two minors on Paseo del Coso, next to Plaza España.
According to ABC sources from municipal authorities, the incident occurred around 23:30 hours. The town council then received several reports from residents alerting them to the presence of the two individuals in the town centre. Witnesses described the men accosting and harassing the two young women.
According to the same source, the arrested men were touching their genitals in front of the minors whilst directing remarks of the same nature at them. There was no physical contact with them.
Local Police responded to the scene and proceeded to detain both men. As it constitutes a criminal offence, the arrestees were handed over to the National Police. In parallel, local officers notified the families of the two minors following the arrests.
