Google News ES — Crime (es) reports that the National Police detained two men in Vigo in the course of a single day for distinct criminal acts that occurred on the same date.
The first arrest took place in the early morning of 2 February. Officers from the Citizen Attention Group (GAC) who were patrolling the A Florida area caught a man in the moment he was attempting to access a hospitality business: he had already forced the shutter and smashed the glass door. The individual was carrying several tools, including pliers and a screwdriver. He was arrested for a crime of theft by force.
That same afternoon, the GAC received notice that someone had stolen a rucksack from inside a vehicle containing a laptop computer, a wallet with personal documentation, bank cards and cash.
Several police units deployed to the area and located a man who, upon spotting the officers, attempted to flee. One officer managed to intercept him and, upon searching the rucksack he was carrying, found the computer and several of the stolen cards. The suspect had already attempted to make fraudulent payments with the cards before being apprehended. He was detained as the suspected perpetrator of a crime of theft by force and a crime of fraud.
