Two minors arrested in Son Gotleu after fleeing on stolen motorcycles and resisting police
Two young people without driving licences were driving recklessly along Aragón Street in Palma when they were pursued by Local Police officers.

Two minors were arrested last Wednesday around eleven o'clock at night in the Son Gotleu neighbourhood in Palma, after fleeing from the Local Police aboard stolen motorcycles and offering violent resistance to officers, according to diariodemallorca.es.
It all began when a patrol from the Preventive Action Group (GAP) of the Local Police detected two motorcyclists driving recklessly along Aragón Street: they were weaving between vehicles and ran a red light. The officers activated their sirens and set off in pursuit.
The two young people drove the motorcycles into Nelson Mandela Park in Son Gotleu, where they left the vehicles on the ground and ran off when they saw themselves cornered.
One of them was intercepted immediately. He offered violent resistance and had to be subdued by the police officers. Following his arrest, it was verified that the motorcycle he was driving had been stolen and that he lacked a driving licence.
The second minor managed to get away to Camí de Son Gotleu and jumped the fence of a private residence, but the officers caught up with him. He also resisted his arrest with force. Subsequent verification confirmed that his motorcycle was equally stolen and that he also had no driving licence. Due to injuries he sustained from jumping the fence, he was taken to a medical centre.
Both minors were arrested for offences against road safety, theft of vehicles and serious resistance to authority. The two motorcycles were recovered by the Palma Local Police.
