Civil Guard dismantles hashish trafficking network between La Línea, Conil and Huelva
The Civil Guard has intercepted a vessel carrying 3,040 kilograms of hashish off Mazagón and seized more than 10,120 litres of fuel intended for drug smuggling boats in Conil de la Frontera.

Operation against the drug supply network
According to The Olive Press, the Civil Guard has dismantled a logistics network for drug trafficking on the Andalusian coast. A vessel detected off Mazagón, in Huelva, was intercepted transporting 3,040 kilograms of hashish. Eight crew members were arrested after attempting to flee at high speed from the officers.
Simultaneously, officers raided a drug trafficking logistics centre in Conil de la Frontera where they seized more than 10,120 litres of fuel intended for drug smuggling boats. Five people were arrested during the search, with dozens of additional suspects under investigation.
Interception in Huelva waters
Civil Guard officers detected the suspicious vessel off the Mazagón coast. On approaching, they confirmed that it was transporting packages with the appearance of hashish shipments. The crew accelerated the vessel at full power, performing dangerous manoeuvres that endangered the occupants and the officers.
During the escape, the drug traffickers threw several petrol canisters into the sea. The Civil Guard vessel Rio Tietar rammed the drug smuggling boat to halt its progress. Officers boarded and made eight arrests. Seventy-six shipments of hashish were seized. The semi-rigid boat, equipped with four high-powered engines, was captured.
Logistics in Conil de la Frontera
A search of a property in Conil de la Frontera used as a drug logistics centre yielded significant findings. Officers seized 61 petrol drums, a stolen foreign vessel, a hire van, panels for assembling boats and sealed containers intended for resupplying drug smuggling boats.
The investigation revealed a criminal organisation made up of residents of Conil de la Frontera and La Línea de la Concepción. The group operated regularly on the coast of Conil close to its base of operations, conducting transfers, providing logistics supplies to drug smuggling boats and changing crew. The Civil Guard seized 405 bottles of fuel intended for drug smuggling boats, totalling more than 10,120 litres of petrol.
