A man was shot on Thursday afternoon in the Blas Infante neighbourhood of Barbate (Cádiz), according to ondacadiz.es. The suspected perpetrator of the gunfire was detained shortly afterwards on suspicion of attempted murder.
The first alerts reached security forces at around 18:00 hours. Officers from the Barbate Civil Guard travelled to the scene and proceeded with the detention of the suspect.
At the time of arrest, the detainee was carrying a firearm with ammunition, according to the same sources.
The wounded man was taken to a hospital. For the moment, no information has been provided regarding the severity of his injuries.
