Victim's father-in-law detained after body found dead in Arganzuela
The National Police detained an 85-year-old man on Saturday in connection with the violent death of a 47-year-old woman in the Madrid district of Arganzuela. According to laSexta, sources close to the investigation indicate that the detained man is the victim's father-in-law.
The alert reached the emergency services at 11:10. A private individual received a call from his father in which he communicated that he had committed a serious act and was awaiting the arrival of the Police. Madrid's Emergency Service 112 specified that the woman showed signs of strangulation.
Officers from the Citizen Attention Group and emergency services went to the scene and found the woman lying on the ground with no vital signs and evident signs of violence. Death was confirmed at that moment.
The Violent Crimes Group of the Provincial Scientific Police Brigade and Homicide Group VI took charge of the investigation upon arrival at the scene.
