Nearly 1,500 kilos of cocaine seized in drug operation in A Pobra do Caramiñal

According to reports from Google News ES — Crime (es), a new anti-narcotics operation deployed on Saturday in the Arousa estuary has resulted in the seizure of approximately 1,500 kilos of cocaine, according to sources close to the investigation who confirmed details to EFE.
The operation focused on A Pobra do Caramiñal, in the province of A Coruña, and primarily affected several buildings situated next to a ramp with direct access to the sea in the Ribeiriña area and O Conchido beach.
The intervention was led by the Special Response Groups against Organised Crime (GRECO), from the National Police, with the collaboration of other police units, according to sources from the force.
The operation remained open at the end of Saturday. The exact number of people detained had not yet been finalised, although the same sources pointed to a minimum of three, and the final quantity of drugs seized remained pending confirmation, around 1,500 kilos.
Also this August, another anti-drug operation was carried out in Muxía, also in A Coruña, which resulted in 26 people being detained—23 of them in pre-trial detention—, among whom was a Civil Guard officer. In that operation, more than 1,600 kilos of cocaine were seized when the drug was being unloaded on Arnela beach.
