The institution announced this Sunday, through its X account, that it is gathering information about the alleged sexist murder. Police sources confirmed that a woman lost her life that night in said municipality in the province of Madrid.
If the sexist nature of the crime is confirmed, the number of women murdered by gender violence so far in 2026 would rise to 37. Since 2003, the year when the official record of these cases began, the cumulative total would reach 1,377 victims.
