The magistrate will appear before the National Court on 8 October after being subjected to harassment driven by the PSOE's spy network. The investigation reveals attempts to contact drug clans in Badajoz to intimidate her.

Biedma testifies before National Court following harassment campaign
The investigation into two drug clans that the PSOE sewage network allegedly contacted to intimidate Beatriz Biedma now rests in the hands of the judge herself, according to larazon.es. The investigating magistrate will appear before the National Court on 8 October in the capacity of an injured party, at the request of judge Santiago Pedraz.
The investigating tribunal granted her this status after favourably assessing a report from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, which observes an "intimate relationship" between the harassment suffered and her work as investigating magistrate in the case against David Sánchez. For now, the status of injured party is limited to the crime of calumny. The Judicial Police consider that Biedma was a clear victim of the campaign orchestrated with the collaboration of Luis Sáenz de Tejada, a judge expelled following conviction for assault.
Sáenz de Tejada and the sewage network filed complaints against Biedma with the Prosecutor's Office and submitted grievances to the General Council of the Judiciary, all of which were dismissed. When the strategy failed, the former judge attempted to intervene in the Badajoz proceedings to challenge her and remove her from the case, without success.
The investigations at the National Court have brought to light an additional and more serious aspect: suspicions that the network attempted to recruit drug trafficking gangs to intimidate the magistrate. The investigators point specifically to the clan of "los Rochos", groups that Biedma had investigated for related crimes and for the murder of Cinthia Rocho's father on 30 December of that year.
The Operational Central Unit of the Civil Guard travelled to Badajoz days ago to take a statement from Cinthia Rocho, known as "La Celsa", after she stated in a television programme that a lawyer and a judge proposed that she participate in a harassment campaign against Biedma, an offer which she rejected. The connection between the sewage network and the clans remains under investigation, although the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has yet to broaden its focus to this matter.
In her written motions to intervene, Biedma has provided documentation supporting her position as a victim. She included a note from the agenda of Leire Díez—the alleged coordinator of the sewage network—in which contact with "La Celsa" was noted, dated 25 March 2025, just days after Biedma rejected Sáenz de Tejada's motion to intervene. The magistrate described these movements as "very serious" acts capable of endangering both her reputation and her physical safety.
In her second motion, presented this week, Biedma documented approximately one hundred videos of Sáenz de Tejada that evidence the harassment campaign: one from 13 October 2024 entitled "Judge Pedro Sánchez: coward" and another from 12 November of the same year with the title "Judges outside the law: human rights violators, sidelined and illegal". These contents form the basis of the calumny complaint.
Regarding the drug trafficking aspect, Biedma has declared that she possesses witnesses who could corroborate the investigators' suspicions, although she has so far refused to reveal their identities to protect future statements and prevent external pressure. However, she has confirmed having investigated the death of Jesús Rocho in December 2024, a period in which the sewage networks were already actively operating against the Sánchez case.
Biedma's appearance before Pedraz will be decisive. The investigators hope she will provide specific details about the operations of the spy network, information that will determine whether the investigation is expanded to other crimes beyond calumny. Anti-Corruption has limited its analysis to what is strictly related to the main case, leaving the investigation into the link with the clans exclusively in the hands of Pedraz's court.
