Accused's lover reaffirms before judge that he requested a false alibi
The lover of the main suspect in the Tauste double homicide confirmed on Monday before the judge in Ejea de los Caballeros that Luis Carlos Rivera asked her to declare that she had been with him during the hours before the murders, according to heraldo.es.
Rivera is accused of killing in the early hours of 8 February Javier Sánchez, former general secretary of the Union of Farmers and Livestock Breeders of Aragón (UAGA), and his wife Esther Latorre, a couple with a recognised trajectory in agricultural union activities in the region.
The woman reaffirmed before the investigating magistrate what she had already previously declared to the Guardia Civil. Also named as a defendant in the case is Carlota, the eldest daughter of the deceased couple and partner of Rivera himself.
