The Valladolid Guardia Civil has arrested four people as part of Operation Celatar for an alleged offence against public health, according to Google News ES — Crime. Officers acted in the towns of San Pedro de Latarce (Valladolid) and Villalpando (Zamora), where the group distributed narcotic substances from at least four sales points.
The leader of the group, who resided in San Pedro de Latarce, supplied drugs to the other members and also laundered the profits obtained by maintaining a standard of living incompatible with his declared income.
Two anonymous notes trigger the investigation
The investigation began in August 2025 following citizen cooperation: two anonymous notes alerted law enforcement to the identities of those involved and the locations where trafficking operations were taking place. Investigators identified four sales points: two in San Pedro de Latarce, one in Villanueva de los Caballeros — both in the province of Valladolid — and another in Villalpando, in the province of Zamora.
265 grammes of cocaine and more than 30,000 euros in cash seized
On 31 August, more than thirty officers from various units of the Valladolid Guardia Civil carried out two residential searches and one at a commercial establishment in San Pedro de Latarce. At the home of the alleged ringleader, approximately 265 grammes of cocaine were located, more than 30,000 euros in cash concealed, as well as weighing equipment and material for the preparation and distribution of doses — containers and sealing systems.
Investigators calculated that the value of the drugs seized on the illicit retail market would have exceeded 15,000 euros. The vehicles used by the leader for the acquisition and distribution of the substances were placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.
Remand in custody for the ringleader
The four detainees were brought before a judge. The judge ordered remand in custody for the leader of the organisation. None of the arrested individuals or those under investigation had criminal records for offences of a similar nature.
