A Spanish woman was arrested in the Ceuta neighbourhood of Poblado de Regulares after stabbing her Moroccan cousin during an argument. The victim, aged between 30 and 35, was living in the residence without legal documentation.

A Spanish national has been arrested this Thursday in the Poblado de Regulares neighbourhood in Ceuta as the alleged perpetrator of the homicide of her cousin, a Moroccan man who was living in her home. According to El Mundo, the incident occurred around 07.00 hours and the weapon used was reportedly a knife.
Police sources confirmed to the EFE agency that the woman allegedly used the blade against the man following a dispute. A neighbour in the area said she heard shouts of "knife, knife!" at the moment of the incident. "It woke us up. Things are already happening and we're still living in fear," she stated.
The victim is a Moroccan man aged between 30 and 35 who lacked legal documentation to reside in Spanish territory. Initial investigations suggest that the man had not entered the property illegally, according to El Faro de Ceuta. A neighbour who says he knows the family pointed out that "they had rented him a bedroom to sleep in".
It has not yet been confirmed whether the deceased was part of the group of people who entered Ceuta irregularly in late July. The National Police are working to clarify his administrative status and the exact circumstances that triggered the fight with his cousin.
Officers from the Scientific Police attended the residence—a ground floor flat located in an alleyway within the neighbourhood—to search for the murder weapon. The on-call judge also went to the scene. After gathering testimony from several neighbours in the area, investigators were able to confirm the family relationship between the aggressor and victim.
The detainee, aged between 30 and 35, has a history of diagnosed mental health problems and substance abuse, according to initial investigations by the National Police provided by the Government Delegation. "She was not well, they say the brother is problematic," commented the neighbour who says he knows the family.
The atmosphere in Poblado de Regulares reflects accumulated discontent among its residents. "This neighbourhood is already dead," stated one of the residents. Another neighbour, who says he is exhausted by the situation, confessed: "These days you only hear shouts. I take my medication at night and I don't want to know anything more".
