Violent death in Leganés: Police rule out no hypotheses

Officers from the National Police are investigating the death of a woman found with signs of violence in her home in Leganés, in the Madrid region, according to cadenaser.com.

The incident occurred at around 15:15 hours, when a call to 091 alerted authorities that a man had entered his daughter's flat and found the interior completely in disarray, which led him to suspect that a robbery may have been committed.

Upon arriving at the property, officers from the Citizen Care Group found the woman dead with signs of violence and a knife with apparent traces of blood. The victim was the daughter of the person who reported it, who had keys to the home and had come to the location after some time without hearing from her, police sources confirmed to EFE.

The Violent Crime Group, the Scientific Police and Homicide Group VI travelled to the scene and took over the investigation. The same sources indicated that the Police continue investigating the incident and rule out no hypotheses.

This was the second woman who died violently that Saturday in Madrid. In the morning, an 85-year-old man had been arrested for the death of his former daughter-in-law, aged 47, found dead with signs of strangulation in the home they both shared on Calle Ferrocarril, in the Arganzuela district.
