Lorca Local Police arrested nine people for various criminal offences during the past week, according to cope.es. In the same period, officers deployed 75 police checks in the municipality, identifying 679 people and inspecting 226 vehicles, both in the urban centre and in the outlying districts.

Three of the nine arrests took place within the framework of specific operations against robbery with violence, resolved in less than seven days. Two other arrests resulted from a brawl recorded on Avenida Fuerzas Armadas, which resulted in injuries among those involved. The remaining three corresponded to cases of threats, domestic violence and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Of the 75 checks deployed, 26 were carried out in outlying districts and 12 were specifically aimed at personal mobility vehicles (PMVs). The week's activity resulted in nine reports for consumption or unlawful possession of narcotics, processed under Organic Law 4/2015 on Protection of Citizen Security, and 14 reports sent to the General Directorate of Traffic.

Regarding coexistence and traffic, the force recorded 32 interventions related to the Municipal Ordinance for the Protection of Citizen Coexistence, three for street cleaning and 105 reports for traffic offences. Officers also attended to 15 traffic accidents during the period. Lorca Local Police indicated that it will maintain these operations in the areas and time slots that require greater police presence.
