Operation against drug trafficking in Palma mobilises 200 officers
The National Police deploys a wide-ranging anti-drug operation in the La Soledat neighbourhood of Palma, with searches and intervention of specialised units and aerial assets.

According to El Confidencial, the National Police deployed an operation against drug trafficking on Tuesday in the La Soledat neighbourhood of Palma, mobilising more than 200 officers. The operation is expected to involve around a dozen entries and searches, with several arrests anticipated.
The intervention includes personnel from the Judicial Police Brigade of the Balearic Islands, the Police Intervention Unit (UIP) of Valencia and the Technical Interventions Operating Group (GOIT). Units of Aerial Assets, canine handlers and staff from the Customs Surveillance Service are also participating, including officers from the Rapid Response and Immediate Intervention Groups (GRI) of Madrid and Barcelona.
At least one entry was also carried out in the municipality of Marratxí. The Local Police and the Urban Planning Department of Palma City Council collaborated in traffic regulation and the technical inspection of the properties subject to the investigation. The Customs Surveillance Service coordinated the security perimeter through the Regional Aeronaval Unit.
