Among those arrested are the alleged perpetrators of gender-based violence offences, driving under the influence of alcohol, breach of a restraining order and violent robbery.

Of the six arrested, two were detained on suspicion of violent robbery offences. The first stole a mobile phone from a young woman on Avenida Fuerzas Armadas during the early hours of 1 September. After receiving notification, deployed patrols immediately established a search operation. Officers managed to catch him and proceeded with his arrest following the corresponding checks.

The second case took place on Thursday afternoon, when a suspect broke the window of a van to steal a handbag. After receiving notification and with the vehicle owner present, officers carrying out preventive surveillance on Calle Álamo observed the suspect walking towards Plaza de España. Intercepted by the officers, the individual admitted to committing the robbery. The handbag was recovered.

These two arrests bring the total number of people arrested in recent weeks by the Local Police on suspicion of involvement in violent robberies to six.
