Citizen cooperation led to the arrest of another suspect for an alleged theft with force at a property near Alameda Ramón y Cajal, following the alert of a neighbour.

Officers conducted 93 police controls of which 35 took place in the outlying districts of the municipality and 25 focused specifically on personal mobility vehicles. These operations made it possible to identify 910 people and 372 vehicles. Likewise, 37 foot patrols were carried out in areas and time slots of particular interest to prevent incidents and promote safe coexistence.

New road safety measures in force

Since 1 October 2026, the modifications to the General Traffic Regulations have been in force, which incorporate new measures to protect vulnerable users. The main innovations include mandatory helmet use and a minimum age of 15 years for driving electric scooters, use of protective gloves on interurban roads and closed footwear for motorcyclists, new safety measures for cyclists and regulation of emergency lanes. Local Police stress the importance of knowing and respecting these provisions whose aim is to reduce accidents and promote safer mobility.

Commitment to prevention
