Police operation against human trafficking in Córdoba and Cáceres: nine arrested and 29 victims
The National Police dismantled a sexual exploitation network with nine arrests in Córdoba and Cáceres. Four women were freed and 25 possible additional victims were identified.

The National Police has dismantled a criminal organisation allegedly dedicated to human trafficking for sexual exploitation in escort clubs in Córdoba and Cáceres. The operation resulted in nine arrests—seven in Córdoba and two in the Cáceres province—and the rescue of four women. According to priegodigital.es, officers also identified another 25 possible victims, all of South American origin.
The investigation began in November 2025, following complaints filed by four women that put officers on the trail of a network based in both provinces.
Deception at source and coercion in Spain
According to investigators, victims were recruited in their countries of origin through false promises of dignified and well-paid employment in Spain, exploiting situations of particular vulnerability. Once in Spanish territory, they were allegedly coerced and threatened to engage in prostitution at two clubs controlled by the network.
The Police describe the structure as "perfectly hierarchical", with division of roles among its members, some of them linked by family ties.
Constant surveillance and forced transfers
Exploitation allegedly took place at the two establishments under a system of constant video surveillance. According to the National Police, women were forced to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and to accept any sexual practice requested by clients, even when they were ill.
The organisation set rates, services and outings, and controlled the movements of victims and the profits generated. When a woman produced less income or had been at one of the venues for too long, she was transferred to the other club to prolong her situation of exploitation.
Five raids and €28,000 seized
During the operation, officers conducted raids on three flats and one club in Córdoba, as well as the second club in Cáceres. They seized €28,000 in cash, mobile phones, electronic devices, documentation and controlled substances.
The nine arrested individuals are attributed with, to varying degrees, suspected offences of membership in a criminal organisation, human trafficking, offences related to prostitution, against public health, against the rights of foreign citizens and against workers' rights. All are protected by the presumption of innocence until a final conviction is handed down.
