Three young men arrested in Gandia following alleged rape of minor
Three 20-year-old men have been detained in Gandia for their alleged involvement in the rape of a minor, according to cadenaser.com. One of them is identified as the direct perpetrator of the crime; the other two, for the crime of failure to render assistance.
The incident dates back to last week. The three young men had spent the night out partying with three underage girls. At some point, the group of six moved to the home of one of them, located in the Las 500 area.
While the rest remained in the living room, one of the young men and one of the minors withdrew to a bedroom. It was then that he took advantage of the situation to sexually assault her. The victim herself left the bedroom asking for help, with her trousers pulled down. She and her friends immediately went to the Francesc de Borja hospital in Gandia, where hospital staff reported the incident to the Police.
The assaulted minor was in a state of shock, but her two friends were able to provide identifying information about the three young men to the officers. National Police officers attended the residence and proceeded to arrest those involved, who were placed at the disposal of the judiciary. The information was initially published by the newspaper Levante.
