Arrested in Castelló de Rugat for dealing cocaine from house window
Three residents of Castelló de Rugat (Valencia) have been arrested for selling cocaine directly from the window of their home, according to ABC. A search of the property, carried out on 20 August, resulted in the seizure of 1.241 kilogrammes of cocaine, 100 grammes of cannabis, six grammes of hashish, 9,160 euros and 300 pounds sterling in cash, as well as multiple utensils for dividing doses.
The investigation began when Guardia Civil officers received a report about a possible drug dealing point in the town. Patrols from the local post deployed undercover surveillance that allowed them to identify the residents and confirm the sales system: buyers approached on foot, handed over the money and received the substance through the window without needing to enter the building.
During those surveillance operations, officers identified and detained several people who had just purchased drugs at the dealing point. Checks revealed that the distribution of substances was being maintained continuously, regardless of which resident was in the home at that moment.
With those indicators consolidated, the Roca Team from Gandía and the Castelló de Rugat Post executed the entry and search on 20 August. The operation involved the Valencia Usecic and a dog handler unit from Alicante.
The three arrested individuals, two men and a woman aged between 33 and 61, are accused of a crime against public health. The proceedings were handed over to the Civil and Investigative Section of the Ontinyent Plaza number 1 Court.
