Central Finland District Court has ordered a 15-year-old youth to be remanded in custody. The youth is suspected of two counts of aggravated assault, attempted similar offence, and violently resisting an official.
The incident took place last Thursday in Jyväskylä. The violence was directed at the young person's own guardian and two social workers in a situation that arose during a home visit by social services in a private flat. A bladed weapon was used in the attack.
Police are continuing their investigation into the matter and are not releasing further information about the case at this time.
Charges must be brought by 12 August 2026.
