Häme police received an alert from Lahti on the evening of Saturday, 27 June after 11 p.m. According to Mtvuutiset.fi, a police patrol found a deceased woman in an apartment in an apartment building located in the Tonttila district.
Police suspect the woman died as a result of violence. The 32-year-old man suspected of the crime was taken into custody in Lahti on Sunday, 28 June, a few hours after the case came to light.
The man will be presented for detention on suspicion of murder on Tuesday, 30 June. According to information from Ilta-Sanomat, the suspect is suspected of killing his 30-year-old wife.
According to district court documents, the victim's spouse had filed for divorce at the end of last year, but the matter was only pending. The couple lived at different addresses in Lahti.
