The incident occurred last Sunday in the early morning in the Hammaslahti area of Joensuu. According to police, approximately a 35-year-old woman fled her attacker into the forest, where a five-year-old police dog named Luigi found her at the right moment, according to Iltalehti.

The police dog completed the search task quickly and helped the victim obtain assistance in a critical situation.
