Remains of missing woman found in Kauhava countryside
Ostrobothnia police suspect that human bones found on Sunday on the border between Kauhava and Lapua belong to a woman who went missing four years ago, according to yle.fi.
A person moving about in the countryside reported finding bones and clothing, after which police confirmed that the discovery was of human origin.
The woman went missing in 2022 after going out to pick berries. She has been actively searched for over several years, including with the help of cadaver dogs in various outdoor locations.
A week ago, police organised a joint search with Vapepan in Kauhava at a location where a berry basket and picker had previously been found.
Police will continue the investigation to confirm who the discovered remains belong to.
