An unusual burglary took place in Kivenlahti, Espoo on Tuesday, in which the perpetrator made use of scaffolding from an adjacent building. A man climbed up the scaffolding to the roof and gained access from there to another building's balcony.
Entry from the balcony was possible because the door had been left open. Items disappeared from the flat.
The perpetrator left the scene before police patrols arrived. However, he did not manage to escape far.
– He was located quickly near the scene, says detective superintendent Jyrki Kallio.
The man is suspected of aggravated theft.
