Häme police report that shots were fired in a private residence on Friday evening in Orimattila, located in Päijät-Häme, resulting in one person being taken to hospital.
Yle News reported that the man who fired the shots left the residence before police arrived, but was apprehended near the scene. The arrest proceeded peacefully, according to Häme police.
Multiple police patrols and healthcare personnel were on scene. A criminal report has been filed for attempted manslaughter and a firearms offence — these charges may change as the preliminary investigation progresses.
