Häme police have arrested a 46-year-old father suspected of serious violent crimes at his home in the Launee district of Lahti. The criminal allegations are directed at both the family's mother and a minor child.
The emergency services received a report of violence on Saturday morning, 27 June, at around 4:30. When the patrol arrived at the scene, it was clear that the family's father had attacked the family's mother with a knife. The man is suspected of using violence against a minor child who was present with the intention to kill.
