On Friday evening, an attacker travelling by bicycle on a street in Oulu, northern Finland, stabbed a man of foreign background in the back. Following this, it has emerged that the city has experienced several other similar cases this year, which according to police assessment may be connected to one another.
According to Oulu police, the man who was the victim of Friday's crime has since been released from hospital to his home. "The victim was taken to hospital quickly enough. As I understand it, his condition is good given the circumstances," said crime commissioner Jarno Väliaho to Helsingin Sanomat.
