On Friday, 26 June, shortly before 8pm, a violent assault took place in Oulu's Kaukovainió in which a man travelling by bicycle attacked a man of foreign background who was walking on the street, stabbing him in the upper body with a sharp weapon. The attacker then left on foot in the direction of Kaukovainió.
The victim was transported to Oulu University Hospital for treatment. According to preliminary information, his injuries are not life-threatening. The suspected attacker and the victim did not know each other beforehand, police said. Source: Eestinen via Yle
