A 43-year-old suspect has admitted to police that he killed a 44-year-old man with a heavy hammer in February. The body was not found until late April.

A 44-year-old man disappeared from Turku's Varissuolla in early February. Police initially investigated the case as a missing person inquiry, but soon suspected it was a homicide.
The preliminary investigation is now complete. A 43-year-old man is suspected of the crime, and according to police has admitted to the act.
The men knew each other and were together at the suspect's flat. Before the killing, an argument broke out between them. Following this, the suspect struck the victim with a heavy hammer, killing him, according to investigation leader Tommi Kosunen in a statement.
The victim died immediately. The suspect moved the body to the flat's balcony. Police found it on 20 April, over two months later.
