Ostrobothnia Police are investigating a serious violent crime that occurred in Vaasa city centre on Friday under the charge of murder. This is confirmed by commissioner Tomi Mansikkamäki.
The emergency services received a report of a crime against a person on Friday morning at approximately 10.30. The incident took place at Asemakatu 37 in the city centre.
Authorities initially appealed to members of the public for tips and observations, but announced on Friday afternoon that no further observations were needed. Police thanked all who had made contact.
For investigative reasons, authorities are not commenting further on the case at this time. According to Mansikkamäki, further information will be provided after Midsummer.
