A group of four individuals has been penalised financially by the Breton courts for selling illegal cigarette cartons for more than a year.

Four people were tried in Saint-Brieuc for operating a counterfeit cigarette business. The verdict was delivered in early July 2026, with the hearing having taken place a month earlier.
The convicted individuals were distributing approximately twelve thousand cartons annually on the Breton market. The seized products did not meet any regulatory requirements.
The court imposed a total financial penalty of three hundred thousand euros on the members of the network.
