Thirty adults and twenty-nine minors have been detained following fires that affected France, notably the historic Fontainebleau forest.

The forest fires that ravaged several areas in France, including the historic Fontainebleau woodland located less than a hundred kilometres from Paris, led to the detention of fifty-nine individuals. Among them, thirty are adults and twenty-nine are minors, according to the Interior Minister.
"There are thirty adults and twenty-nine minors [arrested], with very varied profiles. Of these fifty-nine people, seven are currently in pre-trial detention awaiting trial, after having admitted to deliberately starting a fire," Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez specified during an appearance on French public television on Monday.
Regarding the fire in Fontainebleau forest, south-west of the capital, which broke out on Sunday in the late afternoon, the official reported that approximately one thousand two hundred hectares were burnt in the main fire.
