Former Haute-Savoie mayor convicted of sexual harassment of minors
Vincent Humbert, former mayor of Andilly, was sentenced to 18 months in prison with a suspended sentence for sending sexually explicit messages to two underage volunteers.

Conviction for harassment of minors
The Thonon-les-Bains criminal court convicted Vincent Humbert, former mayor of Andilly in Haute-Savoie, of sexual harassment of minors on Monday 12 October, according to BFM TV. Humbert received 18 months in prison with a suspended sentence, five years of ineligibility and three years' prohibition from working in a professional or voluntary capacity with minors. He must pay €6,000 in damages to three plaintiffs.
Mayor of Andilly since 2008, Humbert had run the association Le petit pays and the Grand Parc d'Andilly, a theme park that organised medieval festivals each spring. He withdrew from the campaign for the March municipal elections a month before the poll, citing "personal reasons".
The two victims, aged 15 and 17, were volunteers at the Grand Parc d'Andilly at the time of the incidents. They had received sexually explicit messages from the former mayor. Maître Margaux Groine, lawyer for one of the complainants, said she was satisfied that the public prosecutor's office had followed the prosecutor's requisition. The trial was held on 22 September. Humbert has ten days from the judgment to file an appeal.
