A man in his thirties from Nantes was apprehended by gendarmes in possession of drugs, before searches revealed further illicit products and ammunition.

On Saturday 6 June, gendarmes carried out a vehicle check that appeared suspicious to them in Pornic, Loire-Atlantique. The driver, a thirty-one-year-old resident of Nantes, was taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle revealed several hiding places containing prohibited substances. The gendarmes recovered seventeen grammes of white powder, twenty grammes of cannabis resin and a sum of two hundred and fifty-five euros in notes.
The investigation then proceeded to the suspect's home in the Pays de la Loire region. Searches revealed an additional one hundred and twenty grammes of cocaine, thirty-five grammes of cannabis resin, approximately forty packets of contraband tobacco and around thirty nine-millimetre calibre projectiles. Complete equipment for resale was also seized.
The defendant was remanded in custody pending his hearing, scheduled for 28 July.
