According to Google News FR — Crime (fr), the criminal court of Bourg-en-Bresse examined yesterday the case of a 22-year-old man from Bresse, previously without a criminal record, prosecuted for drug trafficking.

The facts date back to Sunday 23 August, during a police check. The young man, described as a baker by profession, had on him two mobile phones, €2,800 in cash as well as drugs. A search carried out at his home — the room he occupies at his mother's house in Saint-Denis-lès-Bourg — also revealed weapons.

Before the court, the defendant admitted to the facts whilst downplaying his responsibility. "I made an error in judgement. I am not a bad person," he declared from the dock. Following the hearing, he was remanded in custody for drug trafficking.
