Metz armoured van robbery in 2007: suspect examined twenty years later
A 52-year-old man has been examined in connection with the robbery of an armoured van in Metz in 2007, which resulted in one death and two serious injuries.

Nearly twenty years after the events, a 52-year-old man was examined on Monday in the investigation into the robbery of an armoured van committed in Metz in 2007, according to Le Quotidien. The attack cost one person their life and left two others seriously injured.
It was thanks to "cross-checks with other judicial proceedings" that "new evidence" allowed the investigation to be reopened, according to a statement from the public prosecutor's office of the specialised interregional judicial authority (JIRS) of Nancy, in charge of the case.
The suspect, described as "from northern France", was already in provisional detention "in the context of a separate proceeding concerning facts of the same nature". Placed in police custody "last week", he denied any involvement in the facts.
