Aged 37, the accused is serving a 30-year prison sentence pronounced in October 2025. He transmitted to his lawyer a letter written in his own hand, in which he fully assumes responsibility for his companion's death. "He gave me a detailed written statement in which he confesses to his guilt," his lawyer reported. This confession comes two months before the appeal hearing, scheduled for September.
Delphine Jubillar was last seen in December 2020 in Cagnac-les-Mines, in the Tarn department. Despite extensive searches and investigations, no trace of the young mother was ever discovered. During the initial trial, he had maintained that his wife had left the family home of her own accord, without explanation.
