According to the two media outlets, the vehicle driven by Cheikh F. was immobilised at the moment when gunfire was opened. The car is said to have been surrounded by two municipal police vehicles, one positioned in front, the other behind. "The vehicle therefore had no way out," an officer heard by investigators is said to have acknowledged.
Cheikh F.'s family has for their part publicly testified about the circumstances of his death. The investigation continues to establish the exact conditions in which the shot was fired.
