During the night of Wednesday 10 June 2026, at around 1 a.m., a police patrol attempted to intercept a white Citroën C2 at the Trois Rois roundabout in Morbihan. The driver refused to comply, triggering a lengthy chase over several kilometres between Vannes and Saint-Avé.
Law enforcement quickly deployed a operation to attempt to stop the fleeing vehicle. Despite two of his tyres bursting, the driver continued his escape. Police officers eventually managed to immobilise the car and apprehend its two occupants.
The two men were aged 40 and 33 years old. The driver, who was at the wheel without a driving licence, was taken into police custody. His passenger was also arrested.
