The festivities organised to celebrate the success of football club Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League deteriorated into violent clashes on French territory. Law enforcement carried out the arrest of 780 people during these disturbances. The human toll amounts to 219 individuals injured, of whom eight are in a condition deemed critical.
According to statements made by Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez, more than 450 of those arrested remain in detention. The altercations also resulted in casualties among law enforcement personnel, with 57 police officers sustaining injuries.
Furthermore, a death was recorded on the Paris ring road. This tragedy occurred as groups of rioters attempted to block this traffic route during the night.
