The investigation brigade of Faa'a has ended the activities of a criminal organisation specialising in methamphetamine trafficking, which was active in the Heiri district on the island of Tahiti.
This case is the result of an investigation conducted over several weeks. The officers established that this structure was supplying the distribution of ice within the municipality.
During searches and arrests, investigators confiscated 2.7 million CFP francs from illegal activities, ten grammes of methamphetamine and replica weapons.
The total profits generated by this organisation are estimated at 3.2 million CFP francs.
The three main figures in this trafficking operation were brought before the courts. The justice system imposed sentences of between one and a half and two years' imprisonment.
