Gironde: three men remanded in custody for aggravated rape of minor recorded on film
An adult and two minors have been held in provisional detention on Friday for raping a 16-year-old girl in June, after making her consume alcohol without her knowledge. They are also accused of filming and distributing the images.
Three suspects remanded in custody for gang rape
According to TF1 Info, an adult and two minors were committed for trial and remanded in custody on Friday 25 September in Libourne. They are suspected of gang-raping a 16-year-old girl in June last year in Saint-Seurin-sur-l'Isle, in Gironde.
The three suspects allegedly gave the victim alcohol without her knowledge before committing the offence. They also filmed the scene using mobile phones and distributed the images, according to the Libourne public prosecutor's office headed by prosecutor Loïs Raschel.
The charges include gang rape, administering a substance impairing judgment with intent to commit rape, recording and distribution of pornographic images involving a minor. These charges reflect the particular seriousness of the case.
The young victim filed a complaint after the incident. An investigation was opened and entrusted to Libourne gendarmes, who questioned the three suspects during police custody before they were committed for trial. The prosecutor did not specify whether the victim knew the three men at the time of the incident, nor did he disclose details relating to the days of incapacity to work prescribed following the rape.
